Information on the poster session and the poster design

Time and place

The poster session will take place in the “Zeitungslesehalle” (Leopoldstraße 13) on February 22, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Aim and structure

The aim of the poster session is a common exchange on current research projects that deal with Holocaust education from various perspectives.
After an introduction by the moderator, you will present your poster to the plenum (length: 3 minutes).
Following this, you will be available for questions and discussions next to the display panels (length: 15 minutes).

At the end of the presentation, the three best posters of the conference will be selected.
The poster session will conclude with the awarding of the poster prizes with a total value of 500 euros. The awards are donated by the Class of Language Education (Graduate School, Faculty of Languages and Literatures). The posters will be exhibited for the entire duration of the conference.

Some conference events will be streamed. Further details will soon be available on the conference website.

Presentation of contents

A poster is supposed to communicate a message, be inviting for viewers and encourage discussion.

It does not replace a presentation and should not display a series of presentation slides.

A poster is a visual medium. Accordingly, an appealing design is desirable (images, graphics, headlines).
